Hello Friends
The Amazing Stamptember celebrations has ended on the SSS store, I bought this Stamp set called Celebrate The Season which was designed by Clearly Besotted for SSS and couldn't play with it as I was very busy with other things. It was love at first sight with this stamp set. This is one of those sets that you can easily style and designe in so many ways to give it a completely different look. I got excited and made 3 cards, in different styles.
For the first card I took a modern approach. I created a background using the large stamp in this set. Because this stamp is quiet big and I wanted to show it more on the card, I decide to go with a 5x7 card size. I stamped the floral wreath image on a white card stock panel using SSS Intense Black ink. I used this ink as I wanted to color my images using Copic markers and tihs ink is ideal for it. After I had colored all the images, I stamped some sentiments from the same stamp set using Delicata Gold ink. On a separate card stock I stamped the single poinsettia flower and the bow image using the same black ink and colored it with copic markers. I fussy cut the images using my Cutter Bee Scissors and adhered them using foam adhesive to give the card some dimension.
Copic Colors Used
Poinsettia- RV25 RV13, RV23
Blue Flower- BG15 BG13 BG11
Leaves- G20 G24 G94
Coral Flowers - R08 R05 R11
Shadow- C1 C0
The main sentiment is also from the same set and it was stamped with SSS embossing ink and embossed using SSS UltraFine Gold Detail powder. To finish of the card I used Nuvo Crystal drops on the berries and flowers and Nuvo Glitter Drops on the pine cones.
For the second card I went with a traditional look. I stamped the floral wreath image twice on the opposite sides of the white card stock panel. The image will overlap in the center, but I was not too worried about it as I knew I will be covering it with a sentiment banner. If you do not want to do that and instead stamp the sentiment directly on the card stock then you could make a mask to avoid the over lap. I used the same black ink as I wanted to copic color my images. For the colors I chose a traditional christmas floral colors.
Copic Colors Used
Poinsettias- R59 R37 R29 R24
Hellebores- YR24 Y15 W3 W1
Leaves- G29 G09 YG13
Bow- C3 C1 C0
Shadow- T2 T0
Berries- BG13 BG10
After I had stamped and colored all the images. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the bows and adhered it using foam adhesive on both ends facing opposite directions. To frame the floral image I used Peacock Feather distress oxide ink on the edges of the card stock. I then die cut this entire panel using the Wonky Stitched Rectangle die from SSS. the sentiment was stamped on a black card stock with clear ink and embossed using gold embossing powder, I die cut the sentiment using the Nested Banners Die from SSS. To complete the card I added Nuvo Crystal Drops in Bright Gold. And then adhered this entire panel on a top folding white note card. I added Nuvo White Blizzard Glitter Drops on both the bows.
For the third and final card I went with a vintage look. I stamped the wreath images multiple times around the edges of a white card stock panel using Versafine Onyx black ink as I wanted to color these images using my Prisma Color Pencils and baby oil.
After I had colored all the images. I added two popped up bows on to corners, which I had gold embossed and colored. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from Holiday Greeting stamp set by SSS, which was stamped and embossed in an angle and the additional sentiment is from Celebrate The Season stamp set. I added some Gold Liquid Pearls from ranger to the center of the flowers and the bow. To finish the card, I added some iridescent sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
I hope I have inspire you to make these styles of cards using similar stamp sets as this stamp set I have used here is no longer available because this was a Stamptember only release stamp from SSS.
