Hello Friends
I always try to challenge myself to use the same stamp set multiple times, so as to get the best use of it. I also try not to use any other stamp set as much as possible. Today I am using the SSS Falling For You stamp set, which was released during their Cheer and Joy October release.I have created five cards using this stamp and I know, you can make many more using this same stamp set.
Though I have used other elements like a stencil or rectangle dies etc. these are easily changeable with whatever you have in stock or you can avoid them completely if you don't have any. The coloring medium I chose is copic markers , but you can substitute it with any coloring medium you may have you or you prefer.
Card No1 : I stamped the three leaf images that are in the stamp set all over a white card stock panel using SSS Intense Back ink. This is ink is a Copic compatible ink. After I stamped the leaves I colored them using various fall colors of Copic markers. I also stamped the Moose and the hedgehog from the stamp set and colored it using markers. After the coloring of the critters were one, I fussy cut th images using a fine detail scissor. Then sentiment was stamped and embossed on a black card stock using SSS white fine details embossing powder. I drew a speech bubble around the sentiment and fussy cut it as well. I die cut a circle using Memory Box Stiched Circle Dies and stenciled the circle with MFT Cloud Stencil using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink. I adhered the elements on to the leaf background and added some gem stones from Pretty Pink Posh and the cars was complete.
Card No2: For this card I drew a circle using the same circle die from the first card as a guide using a very light pencil. Then i stamped the three leaf images around it to make a wreath. I colored the leaves exactly the same colors as my first card. i ashamed the fox, colored him nd fussy cut him and also die stamped and embossed the sentiment. The sentiment was cut using SSS banner dies. If you don't have this die you can easily cut the sentiment using scissors or a paper cutter and give ti a fish tail ends.I stenciled the center portion of the wreath using the same cloud stencil and adhere the fold and the sentiments using foam squares in the center of the wreath. I added some gem stones around the wreath and add a jute bow on the top and that finished the card.
Tip: If you don't have the stencil, you can easily crate a cloud stencil by drawing in some puffy clouds on copy paper and fussy cutting it. You can also avid the stencil and just ink blend the blue or any other contrasting colors to the background.
Card No3: The third card is a window cards with non shaking shaker elements. I learnt this technique from one of Jenifer Mcguire's videos which is linked HERE. The oval die is from SSS called the Leaf Branch oval. Again you don't have to have this die, you can easily use a circle or any geometrical shape die you may have to create the window. I stamped, colored and fussy cut the squirrel. the branch and the leaf on the die I colored using my markers. I also stenciled a blue notecard with the cloud stencil for the back of the window. I popped the squirrel on to the window and stamped the sentiment directly on the white cardstock panel and then the card was done.
Card No4: This card show is a n example of how you can add more to you cards without using many different stamps set. in this card here I created my own whimsical trees using a pen and colored it with markers. i then stamped the owl multiple times and fussy cut them all. I also stenciled the background with the cloud stencil and popped the owls to create a background. I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock with embossing powder and cut it vertically to adhere to the top
Tip: You can make many backgrounds like these, for example you can draw in balloons for birthday or hearts for valentines and many more.
Card No5: For this card i brought all the images from the stamp set together. I wanted all the critters to be having fun on a fall day celebrating their friends birthday. i stamped, colored and stencils all on one layer and popped the panel on to a side folding card. I adhere the sentiment inner on the top center of the card and I was done.
