Hi friends,
Today I have fun project!!! I am collaborating with Jaycee Gaspar featuring this stamp set from Ellen Hutson called Squeeze The Day. This is a bit of an unusual collar and by that I mean is, that both Jaycee and I are Science geeks so we decided to apply a bit of science here. Nothing too scientific but just an experiment more like a controlled experiment rather. We decided to use minimum products, but exactly the same products which included, warm gray markers one green marker YG03, white cardstock, black ink , the stamp set Squeeze The Day from Ellen Hutson and some basic supplies like stamping blocks, scissors, adhesive and paper trimmer and only one variable, our IMAGINATIONS. I have linked to all of Jaycee's Social media platforms below the post. Please be sure to check them out as they are packed with inspirations.
Our idea behind this project was to show that we don't really need all the supplies that's out there even with limited supples we can create amazing projects. Secondly and most important of all is imagination. Imagination is a powerful weapon for creating anything. As we go through this tough phase of waiting for this Covid- 19 virus to pass, let your imaginations run free to create something amazing that not only uplifts you but also someone else. Trust me imagination can never be destroyed by any plagues of this earth and no one can stop you from having one!!
Steps to make the card:
Start by stamping the lime slice image onto a white cardstock using a copic friendly ink creating linear patter. Please watch the video below where I show you how to create a linear background.
Colour the lime slices using warm gray markers and a touch of YG03 to the center of the limes.. In the video below I also show an easy technique to create the texure for the limeslice.
Stamp and colour the floral cluster image using the same copic markers and fussy cut the flowers individually.
Colour a white cardstock with YG03 and stamp the sentiment with black ink. Cut the green colored carrdstock to create a thin label using a paper trimmer.
Cut the lime pattern cardstock to a smaller rectangle and adhere it a little wonky on to a top folding white note card using foam adhesive and cut away the excess hang over from the sides.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the lime pattern panel using foam tape and the flowers trio around sentiment using liquid glue, and the card is done.
