Now for the cards, I created three very contemporary and linear card designs today using the Detail Floral Heart Die from the Let's Connect release. I went with a very different color scheme unlike the usual rainbow colors. I called these contemporary Rainbow cards ;). To keep up with the contemporary modern look of the card, I kept them quiet simple and the design very linear as I mentioned earlier. I took to Pinterest in search of some modern color schemes and I picked a few different color pallets and came up with this one. I used a couple of the soft colors and a couple of brights and paired it with neutrals like gray cream and black and some gold. The beautiful swirly details of the die stands out in this very clean and simple looking cards.
Card 1:
I die cut the DetailFloral Hearts Die in the colors I chose and stacked them in a row on a side portrait fold slim line white note card. I also added a thin sentiment strip embossed in white on black using the SSS Tiny Words stamp set in the center of each heart.
Card 2:
For this card I changed it a bit. Still keeping the linear look of the design, I die cut strips of the colored card stock using SSS Sentiment Label Dies. I adhered them in an angle making sure to pop some on foam tape and some with liquid adhesive. I also stamped and embossed the sentiment from SSS called Greeting Mix 1 in white on black card and die cut it using the same label die. A\I placed the die cut sentiment in the same angle as the card stock strips and placed the gray Detail Floral Heart beneath the sentiment.
Card 3:
I die cut the card stock strips using a smaller sentiment label die and adhered it to a copy paper and die cut that using the Detail Floral Heart Die. I kept this card very simple as the striped heart was the focus of this cards. The sentiment is from the same SSS Greeting Mix 1 stamp set which I stamped using a black ink tight under the heart.

I hope I have inspired you to use contemporary colors and linear designs for you card. Make sure to drop by each artists on the hop and leave them some love. Have a wonderful day and happy hopping.

Preeti, I think your graphic, modern color scheme is perfect for the detail floral heart -- it actually had not caught my eye at all! I love the cascading hearts with different sentiments -- definitely worth case-ing! TFS
Love the color combos for the modern rainbow!
