Any way moving on to the cards. I made three cards today using SSS Be Kind stamp set, which is a set with very simple but elegant outline leaf images. Out line images are very versatile as you can use many different mediums of colors to color them. I am using copic markers today, and showcasing these markers on three different surfaces. Though I have used the same colors for all the surface, it still looks different on each.
Card 1
Stamp three blue eucalyptus leaves on to a vellum using SSS Embossing Ink and heat emboss it using SSS Fine Detail White Embossing powder .
Color all the leaves from the back of the mages with BG29, BG18 and BG72. Turn the image over and color the front with G41. If you accidentally get any color over the white embossing , use a 00 blender pen and remove ink.
Afte colring the images, fussy cut each of them using a fine detail scissors or using the coordinating Be Kind Dies.
Heat emboss the Friend sentiment on a black cardstock with white heat embossing and die cut it using the SSS Nested Banner Dies.
Adhere the fussy cut leaves to the back of the black sentiment stirip and add foam tape just to the back of the black strip.
Emboss the SSS You Are Background stamp on white cardstock using SSS fine Detail White embossing powder and heat set it. Gently blend Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink to the edges of the cardstock leaving the center almost white.
Die cut this embossed panel using SSS Basic Rectangle dies. Adhere the die cut rectangle panel onto a top folding white note card. To finish the card add a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh gems
Card 2
Stamp the Eucalyptus leaf using fog ink to do no line coloring on to Neenah Desert Storm 80lbs Cardstock
Color the image using G29 BG18 BG72 G41. Color the branch with E17 and E13.
Stamp the sentiment Be Kind directly on the colored image using Versafine Black ink and heat embosss it with SSS Fine Detail Clear embossing powder. Also heat emboss the additional sentiment on to a black cardstock and die cut it with SSS Sentiment Labels die. Adhere this strip using foam adhesive under the embossed sentiment.
Stamp a white top folding notecard with You Are Background stamp using SSS Fog ink.Adhere the Desert Storm panel on to a top folding white note card. To finish the card add a few Pretty Pink Posh Gems.
Card 3
Stamp the Leaf image onto a white card stock cut at 4x51/4 using SSS Intense Black ink. Color the image using BG18 BG72 G41 and G00.
Die cut a rectangle using masking paper and adhere it over colored leaf. Stamp the you Are background stamp using black ink. The mask will protect a rectangle area around the colored leaf image.
Cut a rectangle frame a little larger than the masked rectangle using Desert Storm cardstock and adhere it using fam adhesive. This will frame the image very well and separate it from the stamped background.
Emboss the Thanks sentiment on a black cardstock using white Embossing powder. Die cut this panel using the Sentiment t label die and fish tail one end o the striip. Adhere this stirip of sentiment towards the right bottom with a little overhang from the frame. Add a few Pretty Pink Posh Gems for some additional details.
Mount this panel with foam adhesive on to a Neenah Desert Storm 100lbs top folding note card.
I have a video explaining the details on the techniques and tips click on the image below.
