Today I have a fun project showcasing the new SSS Winter Floral Layering Stencil from their November release called the Cheer and Joy. Trust me this release will surely make you cheerful and fill your with joy it sure did to me.This stencil has 4 layers to build a beautiful floral background. You can also use the individually if you like to create your own fun backgrounds.
I started the card by stenciling all the layere, using a SSS fog ink. After I had finished inking, i drew in the out lines of the images using a fine black pen. Once I was done out lining I was ready to color the images using my copic colors. I went with a very traditional color scheme for this card. When all the images were colored I did the background with a few Warm Gray inks. My idea for this card was to create a glass mosaic look. The warm gray ink in the background represent the grout and the colored images the glasss pieces.
Copic Markers Used:
Poinsettia- R59 R37 R29 R27 R24 R22
Green Leaves1- G28 G09 G05
Green Leaves 2- YG09 G03 YG41
Flower Centers- YR14 Y35
Pine Leaves- YG67 YG17 YG23
Aqua Dots- BG09 BG15
Grout- W5 W3 W1
In order for the grout to look textured, I added dots using the warm gray markers and a white gelly roll pen. Once the background was done it was time to give the floral and the leaves the glass look. I added glossy accents on every colored flower and leaves and pines and sprinkled some distress glitter while the glossy accent was still wet. Here is a video on how I made this card or click the image below.
This card is so sparkly in really life it makes me very happy. The sentiment is from an older christmas stamp set called, Scripty Greetings Holiday which heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I die cut the sentiment using a PinPoint rectangle die. The additional sentiment is from Tiny Words Christmas Greetings, Which I embossed with Gold embossing powder on a Lipstick Red card stock. Added some Stay Gold sequins only on the sentiment panel and I was done. Here is a video on how I made this card.

Happy hopping and see you next time with more cards and creativity to share from my little world to yours. Keep shining and sharing handmade love and kindness my friends.
